ICF NL Chapter –
Supervision & Intervision

Sessions to learn, grow and reflect
Led by qualified supervisors & coaches

Coaching is a profession that grows strongest when we grow together.

Supervision and intervision create powerful spaces for reflection, ethical awareness, and continuous development. Through guided supervision with an experienced supervisor, and peer-based intervision with fellow coaches, we deepen our skills, gain new perspectives, and strengthen our confidence in practice. These reflective practices are increasingly becoming a professional standard — and for good reason.

To celebrate 20 years of ICF NL, we’re thrilled to offer a unique L&D experience focused on supervision and intervision — a chance to pause, reflect, and connect deeply with your coaching community.

Inspire growth and strengthen skills

Guided by experienced professional supervisors and facilitators from the ICF community, this program is designed to inspire growth, spark new perspectives, and strengthen the skills that make our coaching practice truly impactful.

Together, we are raising the bar for coaching in the Netherlands. This initiative is about creating a space where every active coach can learn, reflect, and grow in their practice.

It’s more than learning; it’s a celebration of our shared journey, our collective wisdom, and the future we’re building together.

Intervision and Supervision

Supervision and Intervision are professional reflective practices that help coaches deepen their skills, strengthen ethical awareness, and continuously grow in confidence and competence.

Supervision provides guided reflection with an experienced supervisor who supports learning, emotional processing, and professional development.

Intervision is a peer-learning format where coaches collaboratively explore client cases, share perspectives, and learn from each other in a safe, supportive space.

Both are essential because they enhance coaching quality, protect client well-being, and sustain coaches in their work. Together, they build a learning community where everyone develops, contributes, and thrives.

How it works

You’re required to bring a current or recent coaching case that you’d like to reflect on, for example:

  • A case where you feel stuck, challenged, or unsure how to proceed
  • An ethical question or boundary dilemma
  • A situation that touches on your role, presence, or impact as a coach
  • A case that raised strong emotions, complexity, or curiosity
  • A moment where you want to deepen learning rather than “fix” something

Working with your own real coaching cases makes the learning immediately relevant and impactful. It allows you to explore real dilemmas, questions, and moments of uncertainty from your current practice — not hypothetical situations.

The focus is reflection and learning, not problem-solving. All cases are treated with confidentiality, respect, and care, in line with ICF ethical standards.
